I had been living with chronic pain in the same spot for over a decade, and in all that time, no one - not doctors, not therapists - had ever been able to name and describe the exact place it lives. In one of Sanieh’s classes, she guided us into a pose and spoke about that exact area with such precision and understanding that I instantly felt seen, validated, and understood. It wasn’t just the anatomy she named - it was the emotional connection, the way we sometimes hold tension and trauma in our bodies as a way of holding ourselves together. It didn’t erase my pain instantly but it unlocked something profound and I’ve felt a significant decrease in my pain - the first real shift in over ten years. They definitely help me stretch my boundaries and reminded me what it felt like to be in my mid 40's again (now 70) back when nothing felt impossible! Despite practicing fo 50 years, taking your classes has given me new insights about biomechanics in general and how to move my body in a more intelligent way, particularly in regard to balance and posture.
